Marius Burhan is a visual artist and fine arts expert whose professional trajectory lies at the intersection of artistic creation, academic research, and cultural heritage evaluation. Holding a PhD in Fine and Decorative Arts, he has been a full member of the Union of Visual Artists of Romania for more than two decades, steadily building a distinguished profile in both artistic practice and professional expertise.

His academic background was further enriched through postdoctoral fellowships in Rome and Venice, experiences that broadened his international perspective and contributed to the development of his artistic discourse.

For more than a decade, Burhan has been developing Stop the War, a long-term militant art project that addresses the devastating consequences of armed conflict and advocates for peace through contemporary visual language. Combining symbolic imagery with critical reflection, the project explores themes of violence, collective memory, human vulnerability, and social responsibility, positioning art as a form of civic engagement and public awareness.
